The following list are some of the content my kid shave watched, there is a lot more available including seasonal movies which I didn't try as it wasn't the season. There are a also a few documentaries that look good but may not be suitable for the kids.

This is a good animation movie for dog lovers. It is a good family movie with a little humor so most kids over 5 will enjoy this, it was a low cost Spanish/Canadian production so you may not have heard of the voice talent but to be fair that rarely really affects these types of movies.

Cats & Dogs (2001)

An evil white persian cat called Mr. Tinkles is planning to sabotage the efforts of the scientist, Professor Brody to discover a cure for human allergies to dogs. And he will make every person on Earth allergic to dogs so that he can take over the world with his army of evil cats
Its a fairly old movie but again its fairly safe for the kids and they will enjoy the humor in it.

Show Dogs (2018)

A Rottweiler K-9 police dog named Max attempts to rescue Ling-Li, a baby giant panda, from being sold by an animal smuggling ring but inadvertently foils an FBI sting operation involving Frank, who blames Max for letting the criminals escape. The two enemies must now work together and pose as a show dog and his trainer at the Canini Invitational dog show in Las Vegas to stop the animal smuggling ring.
The voice cast and actors in the movie include Will Arnett, Ludacris, Gabriel Iglesias, Shaquille O'Neal and Stanley Tucci. Again the kids may enjoy this move but if you are an adult you will need a cast iron will to endure this.
This of course is my opinion, I thought it was terrible but the kids enjoyed it – so I'll trust their expert opinions rather than mine on a movie like this

Firehouse Dog (2007)

Rexxx who just happens to be Hollywood's top canine star, is best known for his extreme athletic abilities is the victim of a stunt that goes wrong .
He gets lost and is reluctantly adopted into a run down firehouse. He teams up with a child, Shane who is ditching his science class to get the station back on its feet.
Again the adults will probably tolerate it as its not the worst movie and there are a couple of themes that go through the film, kids will love the cute dog and probably enjoy this.

Something different here this is a 5 part series but every episode only lasts about 10 minutes
Dark Dynasty K9s specialize in breeding some of the world's most fearsome guard dogs. Have your preconceptions of pit bulls turned upside down, celebrate a family living the American dream and have your mind blown by the incredible bond between man and beast.
If you are a lover of dogs and especially you will love this but the shortness will leave you wanting for a lot more or wonder why the episodes were not combined into a longer one

Army Dog (2016)

An Army Sargent Tom Holloway has a best friend and partner which is his bomb sniffing dog Conner. When Tom is ready to retire he returns home to his family with Conner in tow. Unfortunately his daughter is not happy to have a new family member. She missed her dad while he was away and she wants him all to herself now. Seeing him spending his time with Conner instead of her makes her very jealous. Tom can see that his daughter is anxious about this so he decides to take her and Conner on a camping trip to help them all bond. Unfortunately when they are in the mountains an unexpected occurrence leads to a dangerous adventure that will test all three of them.
This is quite an enjoyable film that the whole family can watch. Younger kids will enjoy this, but adults should also be able to enjoy this as well.

An abosulte classic for the young kids which may be a good way of also introducing them to the books. My kids read th ebooks first before we discovered the series
